The workshops

Practical, hands on and non-threatening, these workshops are for beginners and photo-enthusiasts looking to get the most out of their cameras. Get more enjoyment and satisfaction from understanding how your camera works, improving your compositions and increasing your confidence.

Whether you’re using a compact “point and shoot” or a top-of-the-range DSLR, (digital single lens reflex), you’ll learn the how-to’s of using a digital camera to produce better photographs. The emphasis is on getting good results from the start rather than relying on digital manipulation.

Why go to a workshop?

The workshops are for anyone who is:

  • Travelling
  • Finding the transition from film to digital difficult
  • Overwhelmed by the knobs and dials
  • Bewildered by an instruction manual that makes no sense
  • Spending hours digitally ‘fixing’ your mistakes
  • Constantly producing fuzzy and out of focus photos
  • Frustrated by your overall lack of knowledge.

What are the workshops like?

  • One day
  • Workshops are in small groups - maximum of six
  • Friendly, fun and relaxed
  • Real tea, coffee and Tim-Tams
